We saw the beautiful Rio-Antirrio Bridge as we approached Nafpaktos and could see it while we were in Nafpaktos.
We got to see the Rio-Antirrio Bridge up-close after we departed from Nafpaktos.
The bridge is officially known as the Charilaos Trikoupis Bridge.
It is called Rio–Antirrio Bridge because it connects Rio (Peloponnese peninsula) to Antirrio (mainland Greece).
This bridged was opened just in time for the 2004 Olympics in Greece.
This bridge is more than simply beautiful; it's a technological marvel as well.
This bridge is one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world.
The electricity-generating windmills on the hill behind the bridge were also interesting.
The place we stopped had a metal staircase that allowed for us to take the photographs of the bridge.
This structure is used to collect tolls from those about to use the bridge.
The Rio-Antirrio Bridge is located not far from Nakpaktos anda can be seen from Nafpaktos.
