We rode a bus for a short and beautiful ride from the Hotel Corfu Palace to Achilleion Palace.
Achilleion Palace includes a museum, gallery, and garden.
The grounds in front of the palace feature beautiful nature and art.
The inside is also beautiful.
It's easy to see why Elisabeth of Austria ("Sisi") found this to be a desirable retreat and it was interesting to see the period pieces of furniture.
The gardens and landscaping behind the palace are particularly beautiful and pleasant.
There is a large statue of Achilles on the opposite side of the back garden from the palace and the views of Corfu are spectacular there!
