Fish Creek Falls provides an impressive waterfall that is close to Steamboat Springs and is relatively easy to access.
The walk from the main parking lot to the historic Fish Creek Falls Bridge is relatively short and downhill (though, of course, you have to walk back up that hill to return to the main parking lot).
Although the path to the bridge is relatively short, there's a lot of beautiful scenery packed into that walk.
For many, the Fish Creek Falls Bridge is the ending point of the short hike because a dramatic view of Fish Creek Falls can be enjoyed from that bridge.
We visited Fish Creek Falls over Father's Day 2022 and Fish Creek Falls were thundering!
We arrived at Fish Creek Falls early enough to park in the upper main parking lot. If that parking lot is full, there is a smaller parking lot lower and nearer to where you pay the entrance fee. We had a national parks pass among the passengers in our vehicle and did not need to pay the admission fee to access USDA Fish Creek Falls Trail #1102.
Fish Creek Falls is an impressive waterfall that is relatively easy to access with its close proximity to Steamboat Springs and the relatively short trail to the Fish Creek Falls Bridge.
