Craig's Museum of Northwest Colorado

The Museum of Northwest Colorado is located in downtown Craig, Colorado.

There is no charge to enter this museum, but donations are accepted and we felt the museum warranted a donation.

There is a large watercolor mural dominating the back wall of the museum that you see as soon as you enter the front door. This painting is called "Western Reflections" and was painted by local artist Israel Holloway.

This is said to be the world's largest watercolor.

There is a lot to see in the Museum of Northwest Colorado. One of the exhibits that stood out to me is the one of two deer with locked antlers (called "Death Duel").

Here are photographs of a few other exhibits at Museum of Northwest Colorado that particularly caught my attention.

The basement (there are three floors total including the basement) features names and photographs of all high school graduates in the Moffat Country area for what appeared to be over a century. It was fascinating to see that all of these names and photographs over all of those decades could be displayed in that space.

The Museum of Northwest Colorado provides a visually satisfying presentation of old west artifacts, apparel, guns, and art work.

Craig's Museum of Northwest Colorado is the #1 listed item in the blog post "15 Best Things to Do in Craig (CO)".
